Our dinner under the stars New Year’s gala dinner is a breathtaking event that will be talked about until… well, our 2012 New Year’s Eve celebration!

This magnificent event will see over two and a half thousand guests throng our one and a half kilometer Palm view beach for a truly glitzy affair.

Positioned overlooking the Dubai skyline, the location also promises a fantastic view of our awe-inspiring fireworks display at midnight.

The evening will begin with pre-dinner apéritifs around The Zero Entry Pool, setting the scene for a night to remember. The buffet style dinner features live cooking stations and barbeques, plus an expansive buffet spread with luxurious hot and cold international delicacies, all served at elegant tables by the water’s edge.

Guests can dance the night away to music from our live entertainment, and our DJ will keep the crowd going whilst providing the countdown to the New Year.

Dubai New Year - on board the Queen Elizabeth 2 (QE2)

 

The New Year's celebration in Dubai won't be the same again this year as the Queen Elizabeth 2 (QE2), one of the most elegant vessels ever built, will be the venue for an exclusive New Year's Eve celebration in her new home Dubai.

This will be the first time she has been opened to the public for such an event.

From gourmet food, captivating entertainers, magnificent laser and firework displays, an exceptional line up of international acts (including The Gypsies, Drury Lane, and many more), to Royals, dignitaries, celebrities and VIPs, the event aims to treat guests to a unique, luxurious experience and the most stylish way to ring in the New Year of 2012.

QE2 New Year's celebration is strictly by invitation only, however a limited number of exclusive tickets will go on sale this week to the general public. A percentage of proceeds from ticket sales will be passed on to a local charity.

Hakkasan Dubai restaurant-New venue of another branch

Cantonese fine-dining restaurant Hakkasan Dubai will officially open at Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel in Dubai International Financial Centre today (November 17).

Hakkasan Dubai is the sixth restaurant for the hotel brand globally, and the second in the UAE, the emirates’ first opened in Abu Dhabi at Emirates Palace hotel last summer.

Guests can enter the new restaurant via its long slate-stone corridor.

Hakkasan CEO Niall Howard said: “Following the success of our Abu Dhabi restaurant, we are proud to bring Hakkasan to Dubai gourmet customers.

“With its opulent décor, elegant ambience, and iconic menu, we are confident Hakkasan will become a landmark of Dubai’s fine dining scene.”

Heading the Hakkasan Dubai kitchen is Chef de Cuisine Pang Pin Lee from Hakkasan Abu Dhabi, who brings more than 10 years’ experience in gourmet Cantonese and the art of Dim Sum.

Chef Pang Pin Lee has infused his own style to the menu with new dishes that have been specifically crafted for the UAE market sitting alongside celebrated Hakkasan classics such as the Peking duck with Royal Beluga caviar, steamed dim sum platters and grilled Wagyu beef with King Soya sauce.

Since its opening in Abu Dhabi last June, Hakkasan has attracted celebrities including Uma Thurman, Morgan Freeman, and Clive Owen

Hakkasan Dubai is open daily to the public for lunch from 12pm-3pm and from 6pm-2am for dinner, drinks and bar snacks, with last dinner orders taken at 12am.
